  I was referred to Mountain Valley by my primary care physician. I was asked to arrive at 2:15, which I did. Had to wait an hour before seeing Dr. Williams. I brought 3 MRI's with me along with the reports and while there I had several x-rays done. The doctor seemed rushed and only heard what he wanted to. He never went over the MRIs or x-rays with me, although I noticed he did with the patient before me. I was made to feel like I was a product on a conveyer belt. I have been living with severe neck pain for 2 years and lower back pain most of my life. The MRI report stated I have severe bilateral foraminal stenosis at c6,7 along with a list of other degenerative abnormalities. I've always tolerated pain well, but lately the pain has worsened and is keeping me from sleeping more than an hour at a time. My right arm goes numb all the time along with pain. The doctor said he was prescribing a new anti-inflammatory and something else, the front desk said they called the prescription in to my pharmacy. Hours later, I called the pharmacy and they said no one called anything in for me. The doctor quickly recommended I see a pain management specialist and then come back and see him in a month. Meanwhile I still can't sleep and feel like I missed a day of work just to be pushed off to someone else who wants me to miss another day of work. I was given no instructions on what I can or can't do, no recommendations about lifestyle changes, no medications, no explanation about the cause of my pain and no copies of the x-rays I had while there. A nurse's aid would have been able to do the same amount of inquiry and give the same suggestions as Dr. Williams.
